Henry’s Louisiana Grill Hosts First Ever Four-Day Mardi Gras Celebration!

henry1Starting Friday, February 5, Henry’s Louisiana Grill will throw its biggest—and longest—party of the year in honor of Mardi Gras. The four full days of celebration will continue over February 5, 6, 8 and 9, culminating in a bigger-than-ever Fat Tuesday party. The dawn-till-midnight celebration begins at 8:00 a.m. when doors open to greet patrons with special menu options including piping hot biscuits, bacon, beignets, Bloody Marys and a full bar. Paul Milliken of Fox 5 will be joining in the fun, so guests who want to participate in the live broadcast should arrive by 7:45 a.m. All four days feature food and drink specials, a festively costumed staff and parade coverage streaming straight from New Orleans!

On Fat Tuesday, February 9, the restaurant will be serving lunch beginning at 11:00 a.m. with traditional Louisiana favorites like gumbo, etouffee, and Henry’s specialty, Louisiana Ooh La La, which will be offered all day long, as well as the catch of the day; Mardi Gras blackened wolf fish served over whipped potatoes with New Orleans Pontchartrain sauce. Drink specials are also available all day such as $5 Hurricanes and $2 shots along with free king cake while it lasts and plenty of Mardi Gras beads for all.henry2

During dinner the entire family can compete in costume contests for kids and adults with judging at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. respectively with gift card prizes for the adult winners and a kid friendly prize for the young contestants. Roving Abita girls will be handing out promotional items, like t-shirts and shot glasses to guests while Chef Henry, always a part of the restaurant’s fun, will be giving out unique lagniappe (Cajun for “something extra”) to guests this year.

Starting at 9:00 p.m. that evening adults are invited upstairs for Henry’s 21+ Pardi Gras featuring local favorite “DJ Cajun Chris” who will be spinning Mardi Gras and Louisiana music for a lively crowd, many of them repeat attendees who’ve been waiting all year for this night. Upstairs guests can order drink and appetizer specials and win gift card prizes for best costumes—all with no cover charge.
