KOS, Inc. Grand Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Set for September 15that 11:00am in Marietta, Georgia

KOS, Inc. (www.KOSsmyrna.org), a 501c3 nonprofit learning community that transforms school break days into hands-on, skill-building experiences, will hold a grand ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 11:00am, at their new facility located at 598 W. Atlanta Street SE in Marietta, Georgia.

Led by the Cobb Chamber, this ribbon cutting ceremony marks a new era for KOS, Inc. as they expand their operations to meet the growing needs of the Cobb County community.

KOS Inc.’s new facility boasts of 10,000 square feet, which creates more space for more kids to enjoy building confidence through knowledge with one of their many self-enriching camps throughout the year.

In these self-enriching camps–which follow Cobb County school closures–students learn carpentry skills, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), performing arts, traditional arts, and fabric arts, all while developing skills in social management, emotional literacy (the ability to identify, understand, and respond to emotions in oneself and others in a healthy manner), and responsible decision-making.

According to James D. Smith, the Founder and President of KOS Inc., “KOS bridges the childcare and learning gap for Cobb County families by providing creative, unconventional education that empowers children to discover their own capability. Our primary goal is to establish a safe atmosphere where children and youth can thrive, learn, and grow.”

Smith continues, “This new facility will allow us to open our doors even wider and welcome more of the Cobb County community into KOS. We look forward to partnering with local businesses, parents, and children in our efforts to build confidence through knowledge in Cobb County.”

The new facility, which once housed Rugby ATL, has undergone a total renovation under KOS, Inc. The new facility will give KOS, Inc:
• A private, fenced-in outdoor turf area for play
• Additional classrooms for more programming
• Expanded parking for easier access
• Greater overall program capacity

KOS, Inc. is a proud member of the Cobb Chamber and would like to thank programming support from its generous sponsors, including Cobb EMC Foundation, LGE Community Outreach Foundation, Ready Set ATL, and Bubble Vision.
