A free open house for Kennesaw State University’s Professional Investigator certificate program will be held on March 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at KSU Center Law Library, 3333 Busbee Drive in Kennesaw. This professional certificate program is offered by KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education.
“The escalation of crime, lack of law enforcement resources and the need for internal investigations in litigation and corporate security make this a booming and rewarding field,” said Jennifer Henderson, program manager for the professional investigator certificate program.
Program Instructor Tripp Mitchell possesses more than 20 years of investigative management experience. He will be on hand to discuss program specifics and answer questions for prospective students. Mitchell will also review career opportunities, course topics, applicable skills to be gained from the program and the state licensure. The program exceeds the state education requirements mandated by The Georgia State Board of Private Detectives to take the State Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies Georgia State Licensing Exam.
“This class was definitely a building block for me to be able to go out and do what I am going to do,” said Erinn Warren, program graduate. “I want to do a type of work that’s going to help people. Private investigating definitely has those pathways no matter what type of investigating you want to do.”
