KSU Continuing Education Wins 13 Awards at National Marketing Conference

The College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University received 13 awards at the 25th annual University Professional and Continuing Education Association’s Marketing and Enrollment Management Seminar Nov. 8-10 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Up from 12 wins in 2015, this year’s record-setting recognition included Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for a variety of marketing efforts.

The 2016 awards include:

  • Gold Winner: Television: Paralegal Commercials (UPCEA)
  • Gold Winner: Trade Show Exhibit: “I Did It” Standees (UPCEA)
  • Silver Winner: Mixed Media Campaign: “I Did It” (UPCEA)
  • Silver Winner: Miscellaneous Interactive Media: TESOL Student Blog Series featuring Morgan Attaway (UPCEA)
  • Silver Winner: General Catalog or Tabloid: The Course Catalog (UPCEA)
  • Silver Winner: E-Communications: Email Marketing (UPCEA)
  • Silver Winner: Newsletter: OLLI Newsletter (UPCEA)
  • Silver Winner: Most Improved: Website Redesign (UPCEA)
  • Bronze Winner: Website: ccpe.kennesaw.edu (UPCEA)

The continuing education team also educated conference attendees about branding as part of a presentation and panel discussion. Davia Rose Lassiter, director of marketing for KSU Continuing Education, collaborated with Georgia Tech and Georgetown University for the UPCEA Talks series. The presentation, “University Brand: Beyond the Visual,” provided insight on how all three teams were able to successfully create a brand for continuing education while still maintaining their connection to the main university.

“Our team and our students are the reason we were able to have another successful year,” said Continuing Education Dean Barbara Calhoun. “These awards mean so much to us. We are truly honored to have UPCEA reward our hard work. It’s also great to have members from our college to represent this university and educate others on a national platform.”
