The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) announced its 2016 Council election results on Tuesday, November 22. Life University’s Dr. Jana Holwick, dean of the College of Graduate & Undergraduate Studies, was one five elected members overall. She was one of three elected as a program member.
Individual chiropractic programs who comprise the membership of CCE vote on individuals elected as program members. Councilors conduct the business of CCE, including reaffirmation of programmatic accreditation for DCPs.
“I also serve on the Academy of Site Team Visitors and have been as member of the Academy for 11 years,” explains Holwick. “LIFE will now have two individuals serving on the council, myself and Dr. [Tim] Gross, who currently serves as chair of the Site Team Academy and on the Executive Committee of the Council.”
The CCE is the national accrediting Agency for Doctor of Chiropractic Programs within the United States. Accreditation provides assurances of educational quality and institutional integrity to governments, jurisdictional licensing and regulatory bodies, institutions, professional organizations, students, other accrediting agencies and the public at large. CCE maintains recognition by the United States Department of Education as the national accrediting body for Doctor of Chiropractic Programs and chiropractic solitary purpose institutions of higher education.
