World-renown Christian singers Mac Powell and Mark Lee of Third Day are hosting an “Unplugged” concert Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. to benefit MUST Ministries, a faith-based charity devoted to helping those in poverty. The event is being presented by Glory Haus and hosted at Roswell Street Baptist Church, and tickets are only $10 through itickets.com.
“Mac and Mark are Cobb County residents who sing all over the world and are coming home to help those in need in their own community. It’s a remarkable blessing.” said Ike Reighard, President and CEO of MUST. “These men have won four Grammy Awards, 26 Dove Awards and an American Music Award. Their music has captivated Christians for 20 years and now they are coming to sing to help MUST clients.”
Mac and Mark are part of Third Day, an internationally known Christian rock band famous for 12 outstanding albums, numerous videos and countless radio hit singles like Show Me Your Glory, Call my Name, Cry Out to Jesus, I Need a Miracle and You are So Good to Me. Their current hit, Soul on Fire, was #1 for 10 weeks and comes from their new album Lead Us Back.
A generous sponsorship from Glory Haus allows the concert to be available at a low cost and opens itself to youth groups, school groups, FCA, campus ministries and others interested in an acoustic night of praise and worship with these standout musicians. Doors open at 6 p.m. and concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket – new or gently used – to donate to those in need.
A private Meet and Greet followed by VIP seating is available for only $20, but is almost sold out. Guests can chat with Mac and Mark from 6 – 6:30 p.m., and then get premium seating for the concert. Parking is free too.
