Ballet Company to Feature Six Performances Nov. 28–30

One thing that makes Marietta so special is this city’s commitment to the arts. Not every locale has it so good – in many places, the arts are struggling or non-existent.
A testament to Marietta’s love for the arts is how residents show up year after year to attend Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre’s (GMDT) The Nutcracker. Taking place over Thanksgiving weekend, all six performances typically sell out to joy-filled, enthusiastic audiences who cherish live performance.
This year will be no different! Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre, housed in the studios of the Georgia Dance Conservatory on the Marietta Square, will kick off the holiday season again in 2025 with their timeless rendition of the ballet The Nutcracker on November 28–30 at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre.
The 2025/26 GMDT company is comprised of dancers seven years-old to graduating high school seniors who train daily at Georgia Dance Conservatory.
