
Mount Paran Christian School (MPCS), a private Christian school in Cobb County, announces Coach Connie Arnold as its next varsity head football coach.
At the conclusion of an extensive three-month national search that included qualified candidates from across the country, Mount Paran Christian School is pleased to announce the hiring of Head Varsity Football Coach and Director of Football Operations, Connie Arnold.
Coach Arnold began his coaching career in 1992 and has worked in both public and private schools coaching and teaching physical education and special education. He simultaneously served as a youth minister for 11 years. He joined the staff at Mount Paran Christian in 2011 serving as Defensive Backs Coach for the school’s 2014 State Championship team. He served as Special Teams Coordinator beginning in 2016, Assistant Head Coach in 2022, and Interim Head Coach in 2024 leading the MPC varsity football team to an 8-4 record and an impressive Elite 8 State playoff run. When told of his selection to the position, Coach Arnold expressed gratitude saying, “It is a true honor to continue leading this incredible program.”
Coach Arnold holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Kennesaw State University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Gordon College. Coach Arnold is also a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
The football search committee recognized that Coach Arnold brings to the position extensive experience, impeccable character, and a deep knowledge of the football program at MPC, a program that includes hundreds of athletes from grades 3 to 12. Coach Arnold added, “The opportunity to partner with our incoming Athletic Director is something I greatly look forward to as we build on the strong culture, character, and talent already rooted in this program. Our
shared commitment is to pour into these young men — developing them as leaders, competitors, and Christ-centered individuals — while pursuing excellence together.”
