Mount Paran Christian School began its 47th school year on Wednesday, August 9, holding fast to its title as the largest private Christian school in Cobb County. When the blue school doors opened Wednesday morning, 1,317 students crossed the threshold to begin a new academic year – a record-breaking enrollment for the school. MPCS remains ever-committed to its covenantal mission of developing servant-leaders to honor God, love others, and walk in Truth, keeping true to the school’s core values since 1976.
While enrollment has grown this year, so has the faculty and staff, with 30 new employees joining the MPCS family this academic year. The result is a low student to teacher ratio with small class sizes, allowing each student to be known and loved by their teachers. This year, 21 employees received awards for 10,15, 20, 25, and 35 years of service to MPCS, a testament to the commitment of faculty and staff to the MPCS community.
Associate Head of School Tawanna Rusk shared, “Each summer, as we prepare for the new school year, we pray for our new students, faculty, and staff. Schools are meant to be full of life and learning, so the first day of school is always fabulous! We celebrate God’s faithfulness and goodness to bring us to the start of new experiences, opportunities, and friendships. We enter the 2023-2024 school year with expectant hearts as we see God’s will unfold for our community.”
