MPCS Arts Offers After-School Music and Dance Lessons for Students in the Community

As spring approaches, the Murray Arts Academy invites families to discover outstanding after-school opportunities in the arts. From private music lessons to vibrant dance and theatre classes, the Murray Arts Academy provides professional instruction that nurtures creativity, builds confidence, and develops skill in students from Pre-K3 through grade 12.
The Murray Arts Academy proudly serves both Mount Paran Christian School students and children from the surrounding community. The academy offers dance classes, including
Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Pre-Pointe, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary, as well as individualized music instruction in percussion, guitar, piano, strings, voice, and woodwinds. Families receive personalized support in selecting the instructor best suited to their student’s goals and learning style. All classes meet in the Murray Arts Center and culminate in open studio performances, recitals, and concerts that highlight students’ artistic growth.
Participation in the arts fosters far more than performance skills. Research consistently shows that arts education enhances brain development, academic performance, and problem-solving abilities. Studies have found that learning to play a musical instrument strengthens neural pathways associated with mathematics, spatial reasoning, and language. Students who engage in arts courses often demonstrate improved SAT scores and develop self-discipline, creativity, and confidence that benefit all areas of life.
Registration for Spring 2025 dance and music lessons is now open. Families in the local community are invited to take advantage of the opportunity to enrich their child’s education and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Learn more about the Murray Arts Academy at www.mtparanschool.com/maa
