Mount Paran Christian School (MPCS), the largest private Christian school in Cobb County, is pleased to announce its Patriotic Night at the Catherine Steele Sewell Stadium for its first home football game. The community is invited to join the MPC Eagles for a special Patriotic Night pre-game tailgate next Friday, Sept. 13, as the varsity football team takes on Irwin County.
The school will salute our military and first responders. Plus, the National Guard will present the National Anthem, accompanied by a fighter-jet flyover. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. with family tailgates and culminates with the 7:30 p.m. kickoff. This promises to be one tailgate not to be missed!
MPCS parent Tamara Shuler, who was a New Jersey resident working in downtown Manhattan on Sept. 11, 2001, will share her first-hand experience with the school during a morning devotion next Wednesday, Sept. 11, the 18th anniversary of 9/11. She will also be recognized at the Friday evening pre-game activities.
Patriotic Night Schedule:
- 6:00 p.m. Tailgate around Dozier Hall Circle. The pre-game festivities will include a live DJ, face painting, jumpies, Kona Ice, and a police and fire “touch-a-truck.”
