New Programs Approved for VA Education Benefits

College increases educational opportunities for military veterans and their spouses.

The College of Continuing and Professional Education at KSU is pleased to announce four new programs approved for VA Education Benefits. Active duty and honorably discharged members of the Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines and National Guard may qualify for these educational funds.

  • Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Professional
    Individuals who are able to transform data into actionable knowledge are in demand. The instructor-led FP&A program helps individuals learn the best practices for analyzing trends, building forecasts and creating financial models. This course is offered in partnership with the Association for Financial Professionals. The program is designed for individuals seeking credentials that will focus on mastering the core functions of the FP&A role.  Earning a Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FP&A) credential will establish students as recognized experts in the FP&A field.
  • Facility Management Professional
    Facility Management is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, process and technology. This classroom-based program from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is the only one of its kind in the state of Georgia.
  • Professional Investigator
    Private Investigation has become a vibrant and intriguing profession. Today, a wide variety of agencies, law firms, insurance companies and government entities rely on savvy investigators who can unearth facts, compile evidence and contribute to the resolution of complex issues. Taught by a licensed and certified instructor with more than 20 years of investigative management experience, this dynamic course will prepare students for a career as a professional investigator.
  • AutoCAD Intermediate
    This program will teach the core topics required for preparing professional drawings using AutoCAD. Students will be able to better utilize productivity tools and learn how to work with constraints. They will create and organize more advanced blocks and layouts as well as build templates and annotation styles from scratch. They will learn how to use zoom commands, external references, QuickCalc, and dimensioning tools for a more complete and advanced drawing.

The College offers more than 30 programs which qualify for VA Education Benefits including Culinary Apprenticeship, Medical Assisting, Project Management and Web Design.
