Northwest Cobb Area Council Features Acworth and Kennesaw Police Chiefs on June 29

Join the Cobb Chamber for the next Northwest Cobb Area Council on June 29 for a fireside chat between Chief Jesse Evans of the Acworth Police Department and Chief Bill Westenberger of the Kennesaw Police Department as they discuss their approach to department morale, workforce challenges in recruitment and retention, public safety updates, and how they work together and across departments to support major events in the county.

Jesse Evans is a Cobb County native and is committed to leading the Acworth Police Department through proactive policing, professionalism, and community partnerships. Prior to being sworn in as Chief in December 2022, he served the citizens of Cobb County in the District Attorney’s Office for 20 years before recently serving as the Chief Assistant District Attorney for Paulding County.

Bill Westenberger, also a Cobb County native, has served the citizens of Kennesaw as Police Chief for over 15 years. Every day, he works with his command staff and officers to uphold their values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence, all while partnering with citizens and business owners to keep Kennesaw a safe place for residents and visitors.

Registration is open until June 27 at https://tinyurl.com/2wb7hm4v. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. at the Governor’s Gun Club. Tickets are $25 for Cobb Chamber members and $35 for general admission. Walk-up admissions and payment cannot be granted.
