Enjoy an evening of entertainment with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education. OLLI will host a “Winter Wonderland” themed social February 12 from 6 to 9 p.m at KSU Center. Guests can enjoy a buffet style dinner accompanied by live entertainment. Marietta local band The Sock Hops will entertain guests for the night. The group specializes in four-part harmonies of popular favorites from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s.
“We look forward to every social,” said OLLI Program Manager Pat Walker. “These wonderful events are planned with the help of our OLLI volunteer committee. Our members to determine the theme for every social. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure every guest enjoys the evening.”
OLLI offers an impressive selection of educational and social opportunities for adults age 50 and older. The program encourages students, from diverse backgrounds and professions, to stay intellectually active and engaged through varied courses, excursions and social events. Students can take classes year round in the areas of technology, art and music, finance, leisure, health, fitness, and more.
Marietta Hearing Center, Yeoman’s Consulting Group, and Williamsburg Travel are the sponsors of OLLI’s “Winter Wonderland” social. “OLLI at KSU is thankful for the support it receives from its sponsors and supporters,” Walker said. “These events are made possible with their support.”
The cost for the social event is $15 per person and includes dinner and live entertainment. Advance registration is encouraged and can be completed online at ccpe.kennesaw.edu or by calling 470-578-6765.
