The Atlanta Braves, SunTrust Bank, Cobb dignitaries, American Builders 2017 and honorary masonry, Eutis Morris who also laid bricks at Fulton County Stadium and Olympic Stadium, laid the first bricks at SunTrust Park on Thurs., Aug. 27.

SunTrust Park Quick Stats
- More than 775,000 bricks will be laid at SunTrust Park
- 26,000 cubic yards of concrete used to date. That’s enough to pour a four foot wide sidewalk around I-285 1.5 times.
- The park utilizes 8,000 tons of steel, about 700 more than the Eiffel Tower.
- 100,000 cubic yards of dirt has been moved, filling approximately 10,000 dump trucks.
- Currently, there are 450 workers on site.
- 525,000 man hours to date
