Saint Leo University to Confer 180 Degrees at Atlanta Commencement Ceremony

Sam Tandon, Vice President, International Trade Services, of World Trade Center Atlanta, will give the commencement address for Saint Leo University Atlanta region and Columbus, Miss., students.

This year’s graduation ceremony for Saint Leo students from the Gwinnett, Marietta, and Morrow education centers as well as the Columbus (MS) Education Center and the Center for Online Learning, will take place at noon, Saturday, July 7, at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339.

Degrees will be conferred to 180 students. Most students will receive their Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, while about 35 will earn Master of Business Administration degrees, 15 will earn Master of Science in criminal justice degrees, six will receive their Master of Social Work degrees, and three will earn their Master of Science in cyber security degrees, among other graduate degrees. In addition, about 25 students will earn their Associate of Arts degrees.

Giving the Class of 2018 farewell will be Gelso Rosa, who is graduating summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems. Leading the traditional turning of the tassels on their mortarboards and welcoming the new alumni will be John N. La, Class of 2016. The Clayton County Police Department Honor Guard will present the colors for the ceremony.

Commencement speaker Tandon consults with businesses on growth strategy and change management. His international background with experience in 20 countries, as well as his multilingual capabilities, enables him to provide better understanding of the diverse cultural needs of local businesses as well as large, multinational corporations.

Tandon also serves on the Atlanta Advisory Council for the Saint Leo University Donald R. Tapia School of Business.
