Dozens of customers, community leaders, partners and friends gather to celebrate a decade of local craftsmanship and community

SDCT.shop – Sew Dreams Come True® celebrated its 10th anniversary Wednesday with a ribbon cutting at its Marietta showroom and production facility, marking a decade of creating custom apparel, gifts and gear while building lasting relationships throughout the community.
Several dozen guests attended the September 16 celebration, including Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin, Ward 5 Councilman M. Carlyle Kent, representatives of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and City of Marietta, Visit Marietta, the Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw State University, the Fielding Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Marietta Kiwanis Club, YourLeaderBoard, longtime customers, friends and supporters.
Hosted in partnership with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the celebration recognized both the growth of SDCT.shop and the people who have helped sustain the locally owned business since its founding in 2016.
For owner Georgia Rambo, the milestone was an emotional reminder of just how many people have become part of the SDCT story.
“When you walked in the door, there’s a mat there that says ‘thankful,’ and I am so thankful for every one of you more than you’ll ever know,” Rambo told guests during the ceremony. “We could not have started this business or be where we are now if we did not have our hands and our hearts in every single thing that we do.”
Rambo founded Sew Dreams Come True® after unexpectedly finding herself searching for a new direction professionally in her 50s. Drawing on the sewing, crafting and care for others she learned from her mother, she began building a business around skills she already possessed and relationships she knew how to cultivate.
Ten years later, Sew Dreams Come True® has evolved into SDCT.shop, a full-service custom apparel, gifts and gear company serving businesses, nonprofits, schools, clubs, civic organizations, families and other customers throughout Marietta, Cobb County and beyond.
The company specializes in thoughtfully selected branded apparel, meaningful gifts and team gear, with decoration and production completed at its Marietta shop. Its capabilities include embroidery, heat-applied decoration, sublimation, laser engraving, personalized products, organization merchandise stores and custom product sourcing.
But during Wednesday’s celebration, Rambo emphasized that SDCT’s greatest differentiator remains intensely personal.
“You can’t get this online,” she said. “You can get that right here, and you can walk in here and get a Georgia hug — and you can’t get that on the internet either.”
Rambo also used the occasion to recognize the people behind the company, including her husband, Mark Rambo; her son and SDCT Vice President of Strategy, Taylor Rambo; and longtime production employee Sarah Cape, to whom Rambo dedicated the anniversary celebration.
“She knows exactly where to put a logo on a polo. She knows how many inches to come down from the front of a shirt when we’re doing a heat transfer. She can do it all,” Rambo told guests. “This girl is incredible.”
The celebration also highlighted relationships with customers that have grown alongside the company. Rambo recognized longtime customer Steve Neffield, whose company has relied on SDCT for specialized components ranging from laser-engraved leather pieces for golf awards to embroidered linen flags.
Those kinds of projects illustrate the role SDCT has increasingly embraced: not simply taking orders from a catalog, but helping customers determine what products, materials and decoration methods best fit what they are trying to accomplish.
Today, SDCT is increasingly focused on serving small and midsize organizations that value knowledgeable guidance, reliable local service and a carefully curated selection of products rather than an overwhelming assortment of promotional merchandise.
Alongside its custom work, the company creates original locally inspired merchandise through its Marietta 1834 Collection, which celebrates hometown pride and the landmarks, experiences and people that give Marietta its character.
Wednesday’s anniversary celebration concluded with the ceremonial ribbon cutting, followed by cake, ice cream and an opportunity for guests to tour the SDCT shop and see the equipment and processes behind its work.
For Rambo, however, the occasion ultimately came back to gratitude.
“We could not have made it these 10 years without the love and support and kindness of all of you that I can see in front of me,” she told the crowd.
As SDCT begins its second decade, the company plans to continue growing its work with businesses and organizations while maintaining the local production, personal relationships and hands-on service that have defined its first ten years.
