Today begins a new era here at Six Flags Atlanta Properties with the announcement that the Georgia Cyclone will be reborn as the all new Twisted Cyclone. Twisted Cyclone, with its marriage of classic wooden structure and state-of-the-art I-Box steel track, will surely make all of our guests happy and all of you proud. 
This hybrid coaster technology was pioneered by Six Flags and is among the most amazing experiences a thrill seeker can have. We also plan, as we have done with other ride installations, to redevelop the areas of impact surrounding the ride.
Twisted Cyclone adds to 5 years of your incredible accomplishments for all ages here in Atlanta…and we’re just getting started. They include:
- The addition of Hurricane Harbor and Holiday in the Park in 2014
- Three new massive attractions at White Water…Typhoon Twister(2013), Dive Bomber and Wahoo Racer
- The introduction of the SFOG/WW combo pass in 2015 and a laser focus on Group Sales and catered outings
- Two great additions and the renovation of Gotham City in 2015
- Two branded Family areas, including the World’s First DC Super Friends area, bringing new quality and life to the heartbeat of the park, as well as the World’s first VR Coaster in 2016
- IPS investment in JB’s Sports Bar, two Super Hero stores, Coaster Candy and more
- A park wide, scarier, bigger and better Fright Fest(wait ‘til you see this year’s edition)
- The all new Metropolis, anchored by Justice League Battle for Metropolis in 2017
