This upcoming summer, the heat will not be the only thing sizzling in Atlanta; there is a new culinary artist on the rise, Culinary Dr. Jae! As seen on Food Network’s show, Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives with Guy Fieri; Culinary Dr. Jae has been adding a bit of spice and heat to the culinary scene in Atlanta at his new restaurant, Yakitori JInbei! This Asian inspired restaurant has been a landmark in Smyrna for over 15 years, but in 2018, Dr. Jae Choi purchased the space to create Korean American street food that will give the community a new taste of Asian cuisine. To celebrate his love of food, he will be hosting a series of events to provide the community with a fresh taste of Yakitori Jinbei.
Dine for a Cause
On May 21st, they will be releasing his sizzling summer menu, which will not only have a Korean influence, but also a southern and Latin twist to it! This ticketed event will allow the community to dine for a cause, a portion of the proceeds will be going towards Yakitori Jinbei’s newest partner, Atlanta Community Food Bank! Due to limited space, they will host two seatings; one at 5:30 pm and 7:30. Tickets: $30 per person, includes gratuity.
Celebrating a New Wave
On May 22nd, they will be kicking off their day with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Cobb Chamber Of Commerce from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. During this free event, each person will have an opportunity to meet the staff, Culinary Dr. Jae and taste several of the new sizzling menu items.
Sake Nights
That evening, they will be celebrating their re-grand opening by hosting a ticketed Sake Night event with their partners, Sake Steward, Maxwell Leer from MTCSake, featuring five various Sake’s paired with summer menu items! Due to limited space, they will host two seatings; one at 5:30 pm and 7:30. Tickets $50 per person, including gratuity.
