Smith-Gilbert Gardens will host Harvest Gathering: A Garden to Table Dining Experience on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy a curated three-course dinner with wine pairings by Executive Chef Lauren McCormick of 1885 Grill, inspired by fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available. VIP admission includes reserved seating, early access to the gardens from 4 to 5 p.m., a beverage of choice and a private guided tour with Executive Director Dave Simpson.
The menu features a roasted beet and goat cheese salad paired with pinot noir; a family-style entrée of filet mignon with sweet potato mash and roasted vegetables paired with cabernet; and a plated cheesecake dessert with apple and pear topping paired with sauvignon blanc. A cash bar will be available for additional beverages.
All proceeds benefit the Smith-Gilbert Gardens Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports horticultural and educational programming. The foundation works in public-private partnership with the City of Kennesaw to maintain the gardens’ collections, support growth and connect children to nature and art. Garden staff will host informational booths with opportunities for guests to contribute further to the mission.
Tickets are $125 for general admission and $150 for VIP. Attire is autumnal casual elegance. Parking is available in the main lot off Pine Mountain Road, with handicap-accessible parking located inside the gardens behind the Hiram Butler House. Guests are encouraged to consider rideshare or carpooling.
This rain-or-shine event has limited seating and no refunds.
