Smyrna Area Council Welcomes Mike Carnathan on April 27

Join the Cobb Chamber for the first Smyrna Area Council of the year on April 27 where Atlanta Regional Commission data expert Mike Carnathan will discuss the ever-changing trends in the housing market and how the City of Smyrna and Cobb County continue to evolve.

With more families looking to Smyrna to be their forever home, and multiple developments in the works, citizens continue to see an impact on transportation and the residential market. Carnathan will share what residents and surrounding neighbors can expect to see in demographic changes and economic trends.

Carnathan is the Manager of the Research & Analytics Division at the Atlanta Regional Commission and is one of the founders of Neighborhood Nexus, a community intelligence system for the Atlanta region that provides data, tools and expertise as a catalyst to create opportunity for all of the region’s citizens. Carnathan has worked with numerous community groups, including the Annie E Casey Foundation, Families First, United Way, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, along with a host of statewide and local education agencies and other community groups to help them better understand the neighborhoods in which they work.

Registration is open until April 25 at www.cobbchamber.org/events. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the Smyrna Community Center. Tickets are $25 for Cobb Chamber members and $35 for general admission. Walk-up admissions and payment cannot be granted.

This event is sponsored by Series Presenting Sponsor, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Program Sponsor, Colliers.
