Support the YWCA of Northwest GA at the Atlanta Dream’s Cobb County Appreciation Night

Cheer on Atlanta’s own WNBA team while supporting the YWCA of Northwest Georgia. The Atlanta Dream is sponsoring their first Cobb County Appreciation Night on Wednesday, August 13 at 7 p.m. at Philips Arena, with a portion of the ticket sales going to support the YWCA of Northwest Georgia, an organization committed to creating a community free of domestic violence and sexual assault. Tickets range in price from $24 – $46 and should be purchased directly from the Atlanta Dream using the following link for the YWCA to receive a donation from the purchase: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/wnbaatlanta/EN/buy/details/081314

During the game, purple ribbons will be distributed to promote domestic violence awareness and the YWCA of Northwest Georgia will be awarded a 2014 Inspiring Women Award from the WNBA.
Domestic violence affects one in four women in their lifetime; and sexual assault affects 1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men in their lifetimes.

“With Cobb County’s estimated female population this means that more than 88,000 women are affected, who are your mothers, sisters, colleagues and friends. We have a goal of selling 1,000 tickets to Cobb County Appreciation Night and we need the help of the community to buy tickets and to share the information to help us raise funds to help serve and protect these women. Blocks of tickets are also available for companies wishing to purchase tickets for employee recognition and entertainment.” states Holly Tuchman, CEO and Executive Director of the YWCA of Northwest Georgia.
