The Georgia Ballet Announces the 2026-2027 Season Full of Passion, Magic, and Classical Ballet

Firebird & Carmen, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty | Season Tickets Are On Sale Now!

The Georgia Ballet revealed its 2026-2027 Season during the weekend performances of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The 2026-2027 Season will bring myth, passion, holiday magic, and classical grandeur to the stage in its upcoming season featuring Firebird, Carmen, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty. From fiery legends and dramatic storytelling to beloved holiday traditions and fairy-tale enchantment, the season showcases the company’s commitment to presenting powerful dance experiences that captivate audiences of all ages. Firebird and Carmen, October 19-25, 2026

Myth, desire and passion unleashed! 

Experience an electrifying program of myth and desire as Firebird and Carmen ignite the stage. Set to Stravinsky’s epic score, The Georgia Ballet premiere of Daet Rodriguez’s one-act ballet Firebird transports audiences to a magical world of legend and transformation, where a mystical creature’s power brings hope and renewal.

The program continues with the passionate drama of Carmen. Set to Bizet’s fiery, unforgettable score, this iconic story burns with intensity as a fiercely independent woman lives—and loves—by her own rules.

Together, these powerful ballets deliver breathtaking movement, bold storytelling, and unforgettable music exploring freedom, fate, and courage.

The Nutcracker, December 14-23, 2026

A timeless celebration for the whole family.

Experience the wonder and magic of the holiday season with The Nutcracker, a beloved tradition for audiences of all ages. Follow Clara on a dazzling journey from a festive holiday party to a battle between brave toy soldiers and mischievous mice, through a shimmering winter forest and into the Sugar Plum Fairy’s sparkling Land of Sweets.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score performed live by The Georgia Ballet Orchestra, choreography by Daet Rodriguez, and featuring more than 70 local children, The Nutcracker fills the stage with breathtaking movement, vivid storytelling, and the timeless joy of the holidays.

The Sleeping Beauty, March 2027

A grand, beautifully reawakened classic where true love breaks the spell.

Experience the elegance and enchantment of The Sleeping Beauty, one of classical ballet’s most treasured masterpieces. This timeless fairy tale follows Princess Aurora as magic, courage, and true love shape her destiny.

Featuring lavish costumes, choreography by Daet Rodriguez and Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, The Sleeping Beauty brings this beloved story to life with breathtaking movement, romance, and the enduring beauty of classical ballet.

All performances occur at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre in the Cobb Civic Center, 548 South Marietta Parkway SE in Marietta. 

New and renewal subscriptions are on sale now. Season tickets include all three productions and feature youth, senior, and adult prices, starting at the low price of $80 and continuing to $136.
