A Whimsical Journey Down the Rabbit Hole into a World of Curiosity

Step through the looking glass and into a magical adventure as The Georgia Ballet presents its enchanting production of Alice in Wonderland, running March 14-16, 2025, at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre, located just minutes from Marietta Square. This family-friendly ballet invites audiences of all ages to lose themselves in the whimsy, charm, and wonder of Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale, brought to life with vibrant choreography and imaginative stagecraft.

This brand-new Georgia Ballet premiere is choreographed by Artistic Director, Daet Rodriguez, and Ballet Mistress, Margit Peguero, promising a fresh and captivating interpretation of the classic story. The production will feature dazzling digital projections with animation, further enhancing the fantastical landscapes and drawing audiences into the surreal adventures of young Alice.
The Georgia Ballet will also offer a Sensory-Friendly Performance on Thursday, March 13th at 7 PM. As part of our commitment to accessibility, this performance will feature open seating at 50% capacity, house lights at half, lowered sound, and adjusted stage lighting without strobe or sudden effects. This performance is also a great fit for young children who may not yet be ready to sit still for a full-length production, offering a relaxed atmosphere and tickets at a discounted rate of just $15. We believe that all audience members should have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of ballet in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
“We are thrilled to bring this imaginative production to life,” says Alexa DeStefano, Executive Director of The Georgia Ballet. “Alice in Wonderland is a perfect blend of fantasy, humor, and heart, and we’re especially proud to include a sensory-friendly performance to ensure that this colorful story is accessible to all members of our community.”
Audiences will be dazzled by the iconic characters and surreal landscapes of Wonderland, from the mischievous Cheshire Cat to the formidable Queen of Hearts. Fans of The Mad Hatter can expect whimsical charm, while Alice’s journey will captivate hearts as she encounters memorable figures such as the ever-hurried White Rabbit, the cryptic Caterpillar, and the eccentric Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
