The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG (http://piag.org/)) has announced that The Other Printer, Inc (http://www.theotherprinter.com/). of Woodstock, GA. is an award winner in the 2019 Print Excellence Competition. The announcement was made August 8th during ImPRESS 2019: Showcase & Print Celebration, held at Atlanta’s Georgia Freight Depot with nearly 500 industry professionals in attendance. PIAG’s Print Excellence Competition is one of the largest state printing competitions in the nation. This year, it attracted nearly 500 entries from 29 printing and imaging companies and graphic arts high schools from across the state.
The Other Printer, Inc. won the TOP NOTCH AWARD for Division 1 companies, 1 – 9 employees, TOP GOLD “Best Campaign for B2B Product Catalog” and five (5) Best of Category Awards and six (6) Awards of Excellence. Only one Best of Category and one or more Awards of Excellence may be given in each category. A panel of two out of state judges with extensive experience in printing and print production was brought in to examine the work. Each entry was judged on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included: registration,
clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink choice, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, and overall visual impact and bindery.

The Print Excellence Competition, owned and managed by The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG), is an annual event that recognizes and rewards printing and imaging companies who combine fine craftsmanship with technology to produce outstanding finished
products. The award-winning companies are honored each year at PIAG’s Celebration of Print Gala.
