The Partnership receives International Excellence in Community Service and Philanthropy distinction

Atlanta agency recognized by the Communitas Awards for its efforts as part of the “Gives Back” initiative.

The Partnership’s “Gives Back” initiative was recently recognized by the Communitas Awards for its dedication and active engagement in the surrounding community, receiving top prize in the Excellence in Community Service category.

Founded in 2010, Communitas Awards is a group of several thousand members that “honors creative achievement and fosters partnerships with charities and community organizations.” Communitas recognizes companies that offer their time and resources – or change how they do business – to benefit their communities, whether through volunteerism, philanthropy, or ethical, sustainable business practices.

The Partnership “Gives Back” program focuses on providing support for the local community through diverse, high-impact initiatives. The most recent effort involves a collaboration with the University of West Georgia, in which The Partnership contributed $50,000 and ongoing mentorship to transform bluestone, a student-led public relations agency.

To receive recognition, Communitas Awards looks at the extent and effectiveness of the programs that a company has in place. After revising The Partnership’s activities, the judges concluded that the agency, “clearly exhibits the spirit of communitas, a Latin word that means people coming together for the good of a community.” Winners are selected from across the globe and include industry leaders such as MasterCard, Honeywell, Dow Chemical, Toyota, and Vonage.

For this reason, they recognized The Partnership under the category of Excellence in Community Service. “We take tremendous pride in building up our local community,” said Shaheen Solomon, Director of Public Relations at The Partnership. “Beyond the financial contributions, our leadership team and employees regularly offer their skills and expertise in order to benefit those around them.”

This award adds to The Partnership’s impressive record of recognition by respected institutions, including being named the 2021 Cobb Chamber Small Business of The Year and receiving gold for the 2022 AVA Digital Awards for Website Design.
