The Cobb Chamber is proud to announce that two emplyees of Girls Inc., an organization that inspires girls to be strong and independent, have been named recipients of the 2013 Nonprofit Leaders 30 Under 30 Awards. Jocelyn Lewis and Molly Friesenborg, two members of Girls Inc.’s development staff, have received this prestigious award presented by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and the Young Nonprofits Professionals Network of Atlanta. The 2013 Nonprofit Leaders 30 Under 30 Award is given to individuals who demonstrate great leadership, innovation, hard work and devotion to the community.
Molly Friesenborg is currently the development coordinator at Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta. Her role is to manage individual giving, database and special events. She is also passionate about incorporating her past experiences with organizations such as the Youth Opportunity Center and the YMCA to inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold. Friesenborg serves as the chair-elect/member relations chair for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, where she works to increase the power of the nonprofit sector in Atlanta and help develop young nonprofit leaders.
Jocelyn Lewis is the director of development at Girls Inc. She has been previously involved with the YWCA of Greater Atlanta, an organization that also empowers girls, as the development coordinator. Lewis has spent her entire career in nonprofits and is strongly passionate about the empowerment mission of Girls Inc.
Both Lewis and Friesenborg are strong examples of leaders in the empowerment movement for women. The Cobb Chamber would like to congratulate these two outstanding nonprofit leaders, and the organization they represent, on their success.
