The Cobb Chamber’s 2012 Small Business of the Year Velociteach, a Kennesaw based project management education and certification company, took home yet another award. Velociteach was named Provider of the Year within the project-management industry today, taking home the coveted 2012 PMI Continuing Professional Education Provider of the Year Award – Individual/Business Category.
The award was presented on Oct. 13 in Vancouver, British Colombia by the Project Management Institute at this year’s global conference. Competing with over 1,700 other registered education providers within the field, Velociteach brought home the top honors in the individual/business category.
“This is our company’s 10th birthday, and we’ve received wonderful recognition this year,” said CEO Andy Crowe. “There is nothing quite like being honored by your peers in industry. They are the ones who understand the work you do every day, and winning Provider of the Year is a true high point for us.”
Velociteach was nominated for the prestigious award by the Tennessee Valley Authority for their success in developing a curriculum for the TVA’s managers. The course trained TVA staff in new project management processes and techniques, and Velociteach successfully delivered it to hundreds across the enterprise in a very short timeframe.
The Cobb Chamber is excited to celebrate another success for a valuable member and successful business in Cobb.
