At the end of 2017, the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association (Producers of the Atlanta International Auto Show) donated $25,000 to the Military Family Support Center. This significant donation goes a long way to help keep this vital service open to the metro area’s 400,000 qualified shoppers and their families – veterans who were promised commissary privileges.
Truly the first of its kind, the Military Family Support Center is a public-private partnership designed to serve National Guard and Reserve members, retired veterans and active duty military personnel and their families through monthly on-site sales. Each sale features discounted groceries, including fresh meat and produce, frozen items, dry goods and household supplies.
“We cannot underestimate the impact of the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association’s donation to the Military Family Support Center,” said David Connell, President and CEO of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to their financial support, the Atlanta International Auto Show is proud to host the 2nd Annual Heroes Day on Wednesday, March 21. Heroes Day was created to honor the men and women who serve us every day. All public service employees (police, paramedics, firefighters, veterans, etc.) will receive a 50% off discount upon showing their badges of identification.
David Connell and all members of the Military Family Support Center request your presence at this year’s Heroes Day to enjoy one of the largest Auto Shows in the Southeast while being celebrated for all you have done and continue to do for our community. This year’s Auto Show will not disappoint as there will be over 500 vehicles from 25+ major manufacturers in attendance. Don’t miss your opportunity to see all the latest 2018 models and some 2019 pre-production vehicles, engage in test drives, see a large exotics display and more.
