The Cisco CCNA Certificate offered at KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education can help individuals begin a career as a networking professional. The combined program provides students with the necessary knowledge to earn the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) credential and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) credential. The instructor for the course is an industry professional with more than a decade of experience in the field.

“Atlanta is a major tech hub,” said Rebecca Mattox, Cisco Certificate program manager. “Atlanta being a major tech hub. “There are plenty of opportunities in the field, but not enough qualified candidates. This program is designed to provide essential training to those seeking employment in the field.”

The five-month program is taught by Adenkunle Ayodele, an industry professional with more than 15 years of experience in managing complex technology projects. Ayodele holds more than 28 IT certifications including Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIEx2 – Routing and Switching, Service Provider), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), and Project Management Professional (PMP).

“Our instructor brings a wealth of knowledge to this program,” Mattox said. “He is committed and dedicated to preparing our students for the growing and evolving job market.”

Roger Hinton, program graduate, said the class was “a breath of fresh air.” The program was a welcomed challenge for the retired military veteran.  “I spent 20 years working on telecommunications gear,” Hinton said. “I was qualified to work on a lot of pieces of equipment; however, it was nothing new. When I got in this class I noticed technology had really taken off from what I had done in the past.”

The next Cisco Certificate program begins on April 10. For more information on this program or other technology offerings, visit ccpe.kennesaw.edu, call 470-578-6765, or email ccpe@kennesaw.edu.
