Annual Gala to Take Place on April 15 at the Cobb Galleria Centre
The Center for Family Resources (CFR) is bringing Paris to Marietta in an effort to better support families as they struggle to maintain stable housing in Cobb County. The 2023 gala, A Night in Paris, will take place on April 15, 2023 at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The event is presented by Genuine Parts Company and chaired by Justin O’Dell and Leslie O’Neal of O’Dell, O’Neal, Hungerford, & Blanchard Attorneys at Law.
A long-standing nonprofit serving the Cobb community, the CFR is looking to raise critical funds to support the growing community need of housing support. Lack of affordable housing and unsustainable rent increases are causing the agency to see an influx of calls from families seeking assistance.
“Our biggest challenge is locating available and affordable units for families experiencing homelessness. In January alone we received more than 1,060 calls from families looking for guidance and help,” said Melanie Kagan, Chief Executive Officer for the CFR. All funds raised for the event are used to help support the CFR’s current short-term and long-term housing and prevention programs. With more than 10,000 calls received in 2022, they provided direct assistance to more than 2,300 families and their children.
