
The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority is pleased to announce the promotion of Tom Rowland to the position of Managing Director for Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Rowland, a 20-year veteran of the organization, was most recently the Director of Marketing, Sponsorships and Programming. In his new role, Rowland is responsible for overseeing Cobb Energy Centre, including operations, box office, booking, front of house and marketing. This position also works with Public Safety/Security, Engineering, Event Services, Housekeeping, and Set Up departments throughout the Authority campus.
“Over the course of the last 20 years, Tom has played a pivotal role in maintaining the success of Cobb Energy Centre through his roles booking and marketing performances and maintaining a portfolio of venue sponsors. He has tirelessly supported not only his departmental colleagues but also all members of the Authority’s staff, embodying our ‘One Team, One Company’ philosophy,” said Charlie Beirne, General Manager & CEO of the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority.
Rowland joined the organization in 2006 to plan the grand opening of the Centre in 2007. Prior to this he spent over a decade at Zoo Atlanta as was part of the team that welcomed giant pandas to Atlanta. He then spent time at the High Museum of Art and was there for the Renzo Piano expansion in 2004. He completed the IAVM Venue Management School in 2021 and has been on the advisory board of WCLK 91.9 FM since 2014.
