The Cobb Chamber’s Board of Directors have named Chris Britton, Regional President of Brasfield & Gorrie, as its 2025 Chairman of the Board.
Britton will succeed Mike Plant, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Atlanta Braves Development Company, who begins his term as Chairman of the Board in 2024. Britton will start his term in January 2025 as Board Chairman and will serve as Board Chair Elect in 2024.
“I am so honored to serve as the Chamber’s 2025 Board Chairman. I am excited to join the Chamber’s legacy of strong leaders to guide this organization as it achieves its strategic priorities to drive economic growth, cultivate leaders, and create the best conditions for Cobb’s businesses,” said Chris Britton. “I understand how important the Cobb Chamber is for our business community and I consider it a privilege to be a part of this organization’s and community’s future growth.”
Britton is a long-time investor in the Cobb Chamber and most recently served as the 2023 Membership Campaign Chairman. He is also on the Cobb Chamber Board of Directors Executive Committee and the SelectCobb Board of Directors. Through his leadership, the campaign produced over $1M in memberships and sales production, for the second time in the Membership Campaign’s 42-year history.
Britton has also served on the Cobb Chamber Government Affairs Committee, Strategic Planning Steering Committee, as a Membership Campaign Division Chair, and has been involved as a Cobb Chamber Chairman’s Circle member for many years. He is also a graduate of the Honorary Commanders Class of 2019, the Leadership Cobb Class of 2023, and is active in both alumni associations.
For the past 26 years, Britton has served in various roles at Brasfield & Gorrie. As Regional President, Britton spearheads large-scale projects with a focus on innovation, quality, and professionalism. Britton has played a key role in many milestone projects, including the evolution of Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta for the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Aquarium, and the ongoing 760 Ralph McGill construction with New City Properties.
Britton is a United States Marine Corp veteran and is deeply dedicated to his community. Outside of the office he lends his time and expertise to uplift and support those in need. He’s currently an elder at Crosspoint City Church and has served with organizations like Shepherd’s Men, a non-profit supporting veterans, the No Longer Bound faith-based addiction recovery program, and the Goshen Valley Foundation.
“Chris Britton will bring many strengths as the Cobb Chamber’s 2025 Board Chairman and will lead our Chamber and community to new heights,” said Sharon Mason. “Chris is a charismatic and insightful leader, and he has led one of the most successful membership fundraising efforts for our organization. I look forward to working with Chris as we implement our strategic plan to champion Cobb’s prosperity. We are focused to grow businesses and the business community, to foster leadership and professional development, and to advocate for a pro-business environment.”
