The America250 Beanstack Challenge and Prizes

To complement the statewide initiative, Cobb Library is launching a special Beanstack Reading Challenge. This challenge features a curated list of 25 books focused on American and Georgia history and civic literacy, tailored for all ages.

To add to the excitement, they are offering prizes to various winners who participate and log their reading throughout the challenge. Parents, educators, and young readers are encouraged to sign up, explore the rich tapestry of American stories, and earn a chance to bring home a prize.

Themed Programming for All Ages

In addition to the reading challenge, Cobb County branches will host engaging events and insightful, themed programming throughout the summer. These events are designed to foster civic understanding, explore local history, and bring the community together in reflection and celebration.

“The America250 celebration is the perfect opportunity to highlight how Cobb libraries serve as the vital anchor of our local community,” said Keith Schuermann, Library Director for Cobb County Public Library. “By launching these limited-edition cards and themed programs, we are inviting our Cobb residents to carry a piece of our shared history right in their pockets while actively writing the next chapter of our story together.”
