Former critical care nurse and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional Christian Bratton opens a practice built around the realities of healthcare careers

Healing Wealth, a financial planning practice dedicated to nurses and healthcare professionals, has officially launched. Founded by Christian Bratton, CFP®, RN, BSN, the practice was created around a simple belief: the people who spend their careers caring for others deserve financial guidance that reflects how they actually live and work.
Before entering financial services, Bratton spent eight years as a critical care nurse. He knows firsthand the shift schedules, the physical and emotional demands, and the career decisions that shape a healthcare professional’s financial life. When he moved into the financial industry, he noticed a gap: most planning approaches assume a predictable, nine-to-five career path, while nurses and other clinicians face rotating schedules, education debt, burnout risk, and frequent career pivots.
“While transitioning from nursing to financial services, I realized how big the financial planning industry is, but that nurses are being neglected by it,” said Bratton. “Healing Wealth exists so healthcare professionals don’t have to make major money decisions alone or squeeze their lives into advice that was never designed for them.”
At the heart of Healing Wealth’s approach is the idea that, in healthcare, career decisions are financial decisions. Whether a nurse is weighing a BSN, an advanced degree such as an MSN, DNP, NP or CRNA program, a move into travel nursing, or a step into leadership, Healing Wealth helps clients understand the financial side of those choices before they make them.
The practice offers three levels of ongoing planning; each matched to a different stage of a healthcare career:
- Financial Stability Care for early-career professionals, focused on education debt strategies, capturing employer retirement matches, building an emergency fund, and evaluating the return on certifications and career moves.
- Financial Resilience Planning for mid-career professionals, covering advanced-degree analysis, retirement projections, portfolio oversight, Roth conversion strategy, and closing insurance gaps.
- Financial Stewardship for senior healthcare leaders and practice owners, including tax planning, estate and wealth-transfer planning, practice succession planning, and coordination with other professional advisors.
Healing Wealth serves registered nurses, nurse practitioners, CRNAs, travel nurses, healthcare leaders and NP or CRNA practice owners. Meetings are available virtually, making it easier for clients to plan around demanding schedules.
In addition to his clinical background, Bratton holds the CFP® certification and previously worked in a compliance role supporting a large national group of financial advisors. That experience shapes the firm’s focus on clear, transparent guidance.
“Nurses carry so much for everyone else,” Bratton said. “My goal is to give them a plan that still holds up on the days they’re too exhausted to think about money, so they can focus on their careers, their families and their own well-being.”
