Tracey 016 A.jpgThe Board of Directors of liveSAFE Resources has selected Tracey B. Atwater, President of Bridges Atwater Solutions, as its next Executive Director. Ms. Atwater will begin work on July 1, 2018, succeeding Holly Tuchman, who is retiring after more than eleven successful years of service to liveSAFE Resources.

Tracy Rathbone, President of the liveSAFE Resources Board of Directors, announced Ms. Atwater’s appointment. “Tracey’s in-depth leadership experience in the nonprofit sector and her passion for the organization’s mission made her the ideal candidate to lead liveSAFE Resources into its next 100 years of serving our community. That she was the unanimous choice of our search committee and the full Board of Directors is a testament to her extensive experience, visionary leadership and dedication to bettering the community she serves. I am excited to have her leading this new chapter in the liveSAFE Resources story.”

Tracey Atwater, a native Atlantan, earned a B.A. from Furman University and a M.B.A. from Georgia State University. During her 25-year career in nonprofit management, she served as the President of the WellStar Foundation and as the Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, amassing an impressive track record of achievement in leadership, operations excellence, and fundraising.

Ms. Atwater has deep connections in Cobb County, where liveSAFE Resources is headquartered, but her relationships extend throughout the metro Atlanta region. She is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute, Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Cobb, where she is a past co-chair of the 2014 class and current chair of the Alumni Association.

“I am humbled to be chosen for this role and very grateful to have the opportunity to lead this organization into its next phase. Unfortunately, great need exists for the important services of liveSAFE Resources, and I am dedicated to the mission of serving those when they need us most,” stated Ms. Atwater.
