Overview
Otter’s Chicken is a family friendly, sports themed restaurant specializing in all things chicken. The restaurant has been serving up locally sourced, fresh ingredients to happy customers since they opened six years ago in 2009. Everything Otter’s serves is hand-breaded and prepared to order, even their famous Otter’s Sauce is made in-house to ensure it’s done right.
In 2014, sales skyrocketed for Otter’s a rate four times higher than the quick service restaurant national average. Though anyone would be more than happy about that kind of growth, Otter’s Chicken didn’t want it to affect their quality. For them it was still about providing the best chicken possible and keeping their customers happy. They succeeded in doing so and saw continued growth in 2015. By utilizing the small space they have and making it as functional as possible, they were able to increase catering orders without sacrificing the quality of their restaurant sales.
Growth & Expansion
The past twelve months have been a whirlwind of excitement and expansion for Otter’s. The company introduced a new food truck, Otter’s on the Road, and began construction on their new Cobb Parkway location. Spring boarding off the growth of 2015, Otter’s also hopes to add an Athens location to their roster in the fall. A favorite saying around Otter’s is, “If the Colonel had our chicken, he’d be a general by now.” And with Otter’s tremendous growth, it’s easy to see that this sentiment rings true.
